According to Atul Dinkar Rane, managing director and CEO of BrahMos Aerospace Indo-Russian Joint Venture, the West's efforts would neither end the Russia-India defence alliance or have an impact on the business.
The head of BrahMos Aerospace said on Wednesday that the relationship between India and Russia in the field of defence will "never" be affected by Western sanctions against Moscow since this relationship is based on "trust."
Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the West, backed by the US, has put severe sanctions on the country.
Joint company between India and Russia called BrahMos Aerospace specialises in nuclear-capable supersonic missiles.
The business presently produces the BrahMos missile and is working on the BrahMos II, a cruise missile that travels at an incredibly high speed.

When questioned about whether the West could stop India and Russia's defence and security cooperation, Rane responded.
"My personal gut feeling — it is never!"
"Furthermore, everybody who tries will only fail. It won't be able to sever the current bond between Indian scientists and Russian technologists because it is so strong.
Even if someone instructs us by law to stop communicating with Russia and begin communicating with someone else, we will continue to claim that working with the Russians was simpler "Tass reported what he said.
Rane argued that this alliance will succeed despite Western sanctions because of the trust that exists between India and Russia.
Despite all of these restrictions, Rane added, "We are pushing forward because of the trust that we have built between the two partners".
India has typically gotten the majority of its weapons from Russia.
India, unlike many other major Western nations, has not directly criticised Russia for its invasion of Ukraine and chose not to participate in a UN resolution denouncing Russian aggression.
India has pushed for the problem to be resolved through diplomacy and communication.
Rane added that other foreign nations have expressed interest in buying different BrahMos cruise missile models.
Rane stated that the Philippines was the first country to place an order, and that there are already orders from five more nations.
They are from South East Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, as far as I can tell.
In the middle or second part of this year, BrahMos Aerospace aims to begin shipping missiles to the Philippines, he continued.
