Did Pakistan deny an Indian military plane carrying aid to Turkey's airspace? or is it a rumor?

India has sent two C-17 aircraft carrying humanitarian aid and rescue teams to Turkey in the aftermath of a deadly earthquake where the death toll from the earthquake has risen to 4,983.

India has sent two C-17 aircraft carrying humanitarian aid and rescue teams to Turkey in the aftermath of a deadly earthquake.


Turkey's ambassador to India, Firat Sunel, expressed his gratitude for India's support and referred to the country as a "dost" (friend) in Turkish and Hindi.

The aid package includes search and rescue personnel, medical supplies, drilling machines, and other necessary equipment to help Turkey with the evacuation of civilians. The first batch of relief material reached Adana on Tuesday morning, with the second plane ready for departure.


Turkey's ambassador to India, Firat Sunel, expressed his gratitude for India's support and referred to the country as a "dost" (friend) in Turkish and Hindi. He also quoted a Turkish proverb saying, "a friend in need is a friend indeed".



Indian junior foreign minister V Muraleedharan paid a visit to the Turkish embassy in New Delhi to express condolences on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and convey India's humanitarian support.


Contrary to earlier reports, Indian aircraft did not fly over Pakistan to reach Ankara. It is believed that the Indian authorities never asked for permission from the Pakistani aviation authorities.



During the evacuation of Indians from Afghanistan, Indian military planes flew from Kabul to Dushanbe and used Iranian airspace to return to India.


The death toll from the earthquake has risen to 4,983, with 3,381 fatalities recorded in Turkey and 1,602 in Syria. The search and rescue operation to find survivors is ongoing.
