The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) announced in a public notice that serving and selling non-vegetarian dishes will be prohibited within 10 kilometers of the Yelahanka Air Force Station.
In light of Aero India 2023, the Bengaluru civic body has issued a notice prohibiting the sale of non-vegetarian dishes within 10 kilometres of the Yelahanka Air Force Station.
From January 30 to February 20, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) issued a notice to restaurants and meat stall owners near the Yelahanka Air Force Station prohibiting the sale of meat and non-vegetarian dishes.
"It has been announced that the Aero India-2023 show will be held at the Air Force Station Yelahanka from February 13 to February 17, 2023. As a result, it is brought to the general public's attention, as well as the proprietors of meat stalls and non-vegetarian hotels/restaurants, that all meat/chicken/fish shops will be closed, and serving/sale of non-vegetarian dishes will be prohibited within a 10-kilometer radius of Air Force Station Yelahanka from January 30th to February 20th, 2023 "according to the notice.
"Any violation of this will result in prosecution under the BBMP Act 2020 and Indian Aircraft Rules 1937 Rule 91," the notice continued.
The 14th Aero India will be held from February 13 to 17 at the Air Force Station in Yelahanka. The five-day event, organized by the Ministry of Defence's Department of Defence Production in Bengaluru, will include a major trade exhibition of the aerospace and defense industries as well as an aerial display by the Indian Air Force.
Aside from global leaders and major investors in the AeroSpace industry, think tanks from around the world will attend the show. Aero India will offer a one-of-a-kind platform for the exchange of information, ideas, and new developments in the aviation industry. In addition to boosting the domestic aviation industry, it would help the Make in India movement.
